The HIK micro Thunder TH35C is a thermal imaging attachment for hunting. The Thunder TH35C has the following features:
➤ VOx detector: Modern detector with 384 x 288 pixels
➤ Sensitivity of <35mK NETD: Sensitive sensor for optimal detection of the thermal image signature
➤ 35mm lens diameter
➤ Pleasantly wide field of view 18.6m wide at 100m distance
➤ 4 color palettes (white / black / red / multicolor)
➤ Video recording function (16GB memory)
➤ Wifi hotspot function
➤ Low weight and handy dimensions: 390g
➤ Particularly long manufacturer guarantee: 3J on the device & 10J on the sensor in the event of a drop in performance!HIKmicro's Thunder TH 35C is a thermal imaging attachment for hunting. It is a new development and can come up with some innovations. The device has a 35mm objective lens paired with a 384 x 288 pixel thermal imaging detector. The thermal image signature captured in this way is shown to the hunter on the OLED HD display (1,024 x 768 pixels). The image is focused with an external focus (focus ring on the front of the device).
Image performance of the Thunder
The detector with 384 x 288 pixels, already known from the HIK monoculars, is used. It is a robust vanadium oxide detector with a 17µm pixel interval. As usual with HIKmicro devices, both the representation of the game's body and the representation of the environment are very good. The coordination of the color palettes is very successful and with black = hot, white = hot, red = hot and the false color mode, the hunter has 4 color profiles at his disposal. As with the monoculars, HIK limits itself to the most important profiles and does not offer an unnecessarily large number of alternatives, which should suit most hunters.
Operation & handling
The TH 35c has a compact and robust housing. With a length of around 16.5 cm, it is pleasantly short and does not build up too much. The weight of 390g is lighter than the average of current thermal imaging attachments. The device is operated via a keypad on the top, which is designed in the form of a control pad with a confirmation button in the middle. The clearly noticeable increases in the buttons on the device prove to be an advantage, which makes it easier to use in the dark. The keys are often not so noticeable in the competition.
Furnishing
A special feature of the equipment is the video / photo recording function. Although a few other devices already offer an internal recording function, most devices only have a video output. As usual with monoculars, HIKmicro offers very good equipment. The video recordings as well as WiFi hotspot and live transmission of the image of the device to a mobile device are easily possible.
Please note the smallest magnification of your glass (called “basic magnification”): For the Thunder, a basic magnification of 1.5x is optimal in order to also be able to see the status bar (battery indicator, etc.). Of course, you can always use the T-Vision app for the HIKmicro Thunder to view the status bar, etc., regardless of the basic magnification.
